Amazon today announced that it is expanding its Prime Access program to reach millions more Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) EBT card holders. Prime Access, which was previously limited to customers receiving government assistance in the form of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), now includes those receiving SNAP benefits.

To qualify for Prime Access, SNAP EBT card holders simply need to upload a photo of their ID card or eligibility letter when they sign up for Prime Access. They can then pay for their Prime membership, Prime Video subscription, Prime Video Channel subscriptions, and Prime Video rentals using their EBT card.

In addition to expanding eligibility, Amazon is also adding a new payment option for Prime Access customers. Customers can now pay for their Prime membership using their EBT card, making it easier than ever to access the benefits of Prime.
